Book an appointment at a Nationwide or Virgin Money branch

If you care for someone who has dementia or live with the diagnosis yourself, you can book a free 45-minute face-to-face appointment with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse for expert, tailored support, whatever your questions or concerns. Our dementia clinics are being held at selected Nationwide branches across the UK.  All appointments are confidential and will take place in a private space within the branch. You do not need to be a Nationwide member to book an appointment.

How to book your appointment

We are running free face-to-face dementia clinics in Nationwide and Virgin Money branches across the UK. Upcoming clinic locations are listed below.

We add new clinics on the first Friday of every month, so please check again soon if you can’t see one near you right now.

Please note that appointments can only be booked up to one month in advance.

If you are unable to book online, you can send a text message with the word: APPOINTMENT to 07478 724000, and we will call you to help you make a booking.

Frequently asked questions

Our face-to-face clinics at Nationwide and Virgin Money branches are for anyone affected by dementia whether you’re living with the condition or supporting someone who is.

You don’t need to be a Nationwide or Virgin Money customer to attend. If you have questions, concerns, or just need someone to talk to who understands, you’re welcome to book an appointment.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment. This may be the person you’re caring for, or perhaps a friend or family member. Bring whoever you feel comfortable with.

Please check back in a few weeks. We only advertise new clinic locations around a month in advance, so more may be added soon.

Booking is simple and free.

Just visit our website and find your nearest participating Nationwide or Virgin Money branch. Once you’ve selected a location, you’ll be able to choose a date and time that works for you. Each appointment lasts around 45 minutes and gives you the chance to speak directly with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse.

We’re here when you need us.

You’ll meet with one of our specialist dementia nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, in a quiet space at your chosen Nationwide or Virgin Money branch.

They’ll take the time to listen to your situation, answer any questions, and offer tailored advice and emotional support. You can talk about anything from understanding symptoms and getting a diagnosis to future planning or just coping with day-to-day challenges.

You won’t be rushed, and you’ll leave with practical next steps and someone to turn to.

In October 2024, Virgin Money and Nationwide Building Society became part of the same group. We are currently holding clinics in selected Virgin Money branches as part of a pilot programme, but will be expanding this out to more branches soon.
