Become a Cheer Point Champion

High-fiving, waving flags, banging tambourines – anything to help motivate our team!

Every year, hundreds of runners and cyclists take part in challenge events in aid of Dementia UK. We love to give them a huge cheer along the route as they challenge themselves to support dementia specialist Admiral Nurses.

We need volunteers work on weekends between two and a half to five hours, with locations in London, Brighton, Newcastle, Birmingham and Cardiff.

Dementia UK have a dedicated events team that manage our third-party events. We recruit and support those who have chosen to take on a physical challenge to support Dementia UK.

It a great opportunity to meet new people, share understanding of roles in and out of Dementia UK and  raise awareness of our charity and work at Dementia UK and Admiral Nursing

Joe

Volunteer Tasks include high-fiving, waving flags, banging tambourines – anything to help motivate our team! You may be meeting participants’ family members and friends who join us to cheer. This may include talking to them about their experiences of dementia and why their loved one is taking on their challenge for Dementia UK.

No experience is necessary, all we ask that you are enthusiastic, enjoy meeting and talking to new people, and are able to stand for long periods of time.
