What the partnership with Nationwide Fairer Futures programme means to us
The Nationwide Fairer Futures programme will help people who have been dealt an unfair hand across generations. Our partnership will be game-changing for Dementia UK, giving even more people access to our services, because we want every family affected by dementia to benefit from specialist support as they face the fear and confusion of dementia.
Over the next three years, our partnership will:
- fund 30 dementia specialist Admiral Nurses, offering practical advice and emotional support to families who often have nowhere else to turn
- offer free dementia clinics in 200 Nationwide branches across the UK
- develop Dementia UK’s core services, increasing the support available on its free national Helpline and in virtual clinic appointments
- provide two dedicated Admiral Nurses to work closely with Nationwide’s People and Wellbeing Teams to ensure Nationwide employees who are affected by dementia have access to specialist support, as well as helping Nationwide improve how they support customers with dementia.
Over the next three years our partnership will enable at least 100,000 people living with dementia and their carers will be supported through specialist care and guidance. Our aim is to empower people to have the best life possible, for as long as possible.
