Take the plunge for families facing dementia this World Alzheimer’s Month.
This World Alzheimer’s Month, we’re holding our first ever Skydive Week, shining a light on dementia and raising vital funds to give more families a lifeline of specialist support.
When you take on a tandem skydive for Dementia UK this September, you’ll freefall from an exhilarating 10,000 feet with a fully qualified skydiving instructor.
Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about registering for your skydive and fundraising for Dementia UK. If you need more support, please contact our Challenge Events Team at events@dementiauk.org – we’d love to help you.
You’ll book and complete your tandem skydive with our skydiving partner, Skyline, which works with around 20 skydiving centres across the UK. The centres have different height and weight limits in place for your and your instructor’s safety, so make sure you check Skyline’s website before or while you register.
Our Skydive Week takes place between Monday 7th and Sunday 13th September 2026. Choose a date during this week to raise awareness and funds this World Alzheimer’s Month.
Click ‘Sign up’ on this page to go to our Skydive Week registration form, hosted by Skyline. You can select your jump date and location on the registration form, then pay a £70 registration fee* and booking fee to Skyline to secure your skydive. Ensure that you read the terms and conditions and information about medical forms before accepting them and completing your registration.
* Registration fees/deposits cannot be reimbursed from sponsorship raised for Dementia UK.
Absolutely. When completing the registration form, you’ll be asked how many people you’re booking for. Select the number of people, then make sure you fill in the details for all group members. Please provide a separate email address for each person. Skyline will then secure the same event date for all group members.
We ask that you raise at least £395 for Dementia UK by Friday 21st August 2026 – approximately two weeks before your skydive. Around half of this amount helps us cover your jump costs, and the rest of your wonderful fundraising will make sure more families facing dementia can access the life-changing support of a specialist Admiral Nurse.
Bad weather happens, especially in the UK. If it is deemed unsafe for you to do your skydive on the day you planned, you will be able to reschedule your jump for a different day in the same week or a later date. Skyline will be sure to guide you through this if the situation arises.
Skyline’s team are the skydiving experts! If you have any other questions about signing up or the day itself, they are here to help. You can read more FAQs on Skyline’s website or contact them by email at info@skylineevents.co.uk
We know you’re committed to fundraising for Dementia UK, and we’re committed to helping you!

If you need any fundraising support or have any questions about skydiving for Dementia UK, contact our Challenge Events Team at events@dementiauk.org.
If your supporters are UK taxpayers and their donation is voluntary (not proceeds of a sale), we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to them. Make sure they fill in the Gift Aid form in your fundraising pack, or tick the correct boxes if they’re donating online.
The easiest way to send cash donations to Dementia UK is by donating to your online fundraising page. Alternatively, you can:
Every penny you raise will make a huge difference to families facing dementia. Each donation, no matter how big or small, will help you reach your target. Did you know that someone simply donating £4 to your fundraiser could pay for the telephone costs of one family calling our free Helpline for immediate support.
to run a full day of face-to-face appointments for families affected by young onset dementia (where symptoms develop under the age of 65).
to answer calls on our Helpline on a Sunday, when other dementia services are closed.
for a whole week to support a community where people are struggling to access local dementia services.
Heidi who skydived for Dementia UK"I found my skydive to be the most exhilarating experience I have ever taken part in. The adrenaline once hanging out of the plane ready to jump was overwhelming and the views were beautiful.”
