Walking Running

South West Coast 50 Challenge

Walk, jog, or run the South West Coast Challenge 2024, starting at our base camp in the shadows of the impressive Dunster Castle. The route begins on the Minehead section of the stunning 630-mile coastal path. The full 50km loop then heads over Exmoor with over 1,600m of climbs and some magnificent views.

With 25km and 10km options also available, there’s a challenge for everyone.

You’ll receive Ultra Challenge hospitality all the way including free food and drink at regular rest stops along a signed route, plus support from medics, marshals and massage therapists, helping you push yourself further and achieve something really special!

As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a warm welcome from the cheer squad, a glass of fizz, a t-shirt, and a special medal to celebrate your achievement. There are also camping options and festival-style hospitality at base camp across the weekend.

You may have to dig deep at times – but you’ll meet new friends along the way, and the journey will be unforgettable!

Join as an individual or as a team and raise funds for families affected by dementia along the way.

As Dementia UK is an official partner of this event, you will receive a 50% discount on the ‘full sponsorship’ registration fee when signing up to support families affected by dementia.

My father passed away in January 2021 having suffered with dementia for a few years. We collected money for Dementia UK in lieu of flowers at the funeral, I thought it would be a good opportunity therefore to add to the money we had already collected by walking for Dementia UK
