Time for a Cuppa Matched Donation Week – Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to donations made to Dementia UK eligible for matched funding during Time for a Cuppa Week.

By donating to the Time for a Cuppa campaign during the campaign period, donors are indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. About this campaign
    • This matched donation campaign is run by Dementia UK , a company limited by guarantee, registered in England & Wales (company number 02944156); and with charitable status in England and Wales (charity number 1039404), and in Scotland (charity number SC047429); with registered office at 7th Floor, One Aldgate, London, EC3N 1RE.
  2. Campaign period
    • Donations made to Dementia UK in Time for a Cuppa week, between 12:00am on Friday 1 May 2026 and 11:59pm on Friday 8 May 2026, will be eligible for matched funding until the matched funding pot is fully allocated.
  3. Matched funding
    • Nationwide Building Society will match eligible donations on a 1:1 basis (i.e. a £10 donation will be matched by £10 from Nationwide, making a total £20 donation).
    • A total of £10,000 is available in matched funding for the donation campaign.
    • Matched funds are limited and donations will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Individual donations of up to £300 made to a Time for a Cuppa fundraising page will be matched. Any amount above £300 in a single donation will not be matched.
  4. Eligible donations
    • Only donations made to official Dementia UK Time for a Cuppa personal fundraising pages during the campaign period are eligible.
    • Donations must be made via a fundraising page (e.g. through a page link or QR code).
    • Gift Aid is not eligible to be included in the amount to be match funded.
    • Offline donations (e.g. cash collected at a Time for a Cuppa event) must be paid into an online fundraising page during the campaign period to be eligible for matched funding.
    • Donations made outside of the campaign period, or not through a fundraising page, will not be matched.
    • Dementia UK reserves the right to exclude any donations that are incomplete, fraudulent, duplicated, refunded, or otherwise deemed ineligible for matching.
  5. When the match fund is used up
    • Once the £10,000 matched funding pot has been fully allocated, no further donations will be matched.
    • Donations made after this point will still support Dementia UK but will not be matched.
  6. Verification
    • Dementia UK reserves the right to verify the eligibility of donations and fundraising pages, and to withhold or reclaim matched funding where donations are found not to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
  7. General
    • Dementia UK reserves the right to amend, withdraw or extend the campaign without notice if necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
    • Dementia UK’s decision on all matters relating to the matched funding is final.
  8. Liability
    • Dementia UK accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in this campaign, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
