Chiltern 50 Challenge
Join #TeamDementiaUK for the Chiltern Challenge and help families facing dementia all over the country.
The magical Cotswold Way provides a stunning setting for a breathtaking challenge, with some fantastic views en route and tough hills in between! Our base- camp in Cirencester is the hub for a looped route through the heart of the Cotswolds, which provides a stunning setting for 2,000 adventurers to test themselves.
You’ll trek through rolling hills, quaint villages and the magical Cotswold Way footpaths and trails. Choose from full challenge, three-quarter challenge, half challenge, or quarter distance options. We also offer a gentler 10km route.
You’ll receive great hospitality all the way, including free food and drink at regular rest stops along a signed route, optional university-style accommodation at our base camp, and support from medics, marshals and massage therapists. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a warm welcome from the cheer squad, a glass of fizz, a t-shirt and a special medal to celebrate your achievement.
You may have to dig deep at times – but you’ll meet new friends along the way, and the journey will be unforgettable!

Gary and his team who took on a trek for Dementia UKMy father passed away in January 2021 having suffered with dementia for a few years. We collected money for Dementia UK in lieu of flowers at the funeral, I thought it would be a good opportunity therefore to add to the money we had already collected by walking for Dementia UK.
