North Downs 50 Challenge

We’re heading to the North Downs with a fabulous challenge setting out from our Guildford basecamp. Choose your distance, and walk, jog or run the full looped 50km route, a 25km half challenge, or the gentler Guildford 10km.

Take in some of the best of the Surrey Hills, the North Downs Way, and the surrounding countryside. The route boasts real variety and some wonderful scenery and views and is easily accessible from London. There’s a North Downs 50 Challenge for everyone!

As Dementia UK is an official partner of this event, you will receive a 50% discount on the ‘full sponsorship’ registration fee when signing up to support families affected by dementia.

Full sponsorship – you pay a small registration fee and we’ll cover the remaining cost of your event place as long as you hit your fundraising goal! As we are an official charity partner, you will receive a 50% discount on the standard registration fee below.

  • 50km: registration fee £30, fundraising target £360
  • Shorter distances and lower fundraising targets are also available.

Mixed funding – pay half the cost of your event place yourself, fundraise a bit less and we’ll cover the balance of your place in the event.

  • 50km: registration fee £75, fundraising target £225
  • Shorter distances and lower fundraising targets are also available!

Own Place Fundraising – you pay the full cost of your event place yourself, then fundraise as much as you can – there’s no set target or deadline, and no cost at all to Dementia UK.

  • 10km: £39 registration fee, no fundraising target
  • 25km: £89 registration fee, no fundraising target
  • 50km: £139 registration fee, no fundraising target

The walk was both emotionally and If I could do something to raise awareness and help other families then I was proud to of completed this challenge in 12 hours. It was a tough walk, but the pain was worth everything and I would do it again just to support more wonderful charities.
