- The Dementia UK dog calendar, featuring approximately 80 dog images (this may change at the discretion of Dementia UK staff), will be produced and sold by Dementia UK for an unspecified amount of time with Dementia UK retaining all proceeds of sale.
- Enter the competition to have an image of your dog selected for the calendar by submitting your image to dogcalendar@dementiauk.org. Please include the image as an attachment in your email and include the name of the dog pictured. Their name will be featured in the calendar if chosen.
- Multiple images of the same dog or different dogs may be submitted; however, we will not consider images with more than one dog pictured.
- Dementia UK staff will choose the images that will appear in the calendar from all the valid submissions received by the deadline. If selected, your image(s) will be posted to the October Dog Walking Challenge Facebook Group into the relevant album (out of four) representing the different seasons, to be voted on by group members. This voting process will determine your dog’s place in the calendar.
- Staff will also select based on the suitability of the image to meet at least one of the following categories: Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn.
- Group members will have from the 18th October (time TBC) until the 25th October 1:30pm to vote for their favourite images. More information about voting will be posted in the October Dog Walking Facebook Group.
- The three most popular dogs in each seasonal album will be used as one of the ‘featured’ dogs that represent one month of the season. The twelve next popular dogs will also get a spot on the main pages of the calendar, but the images will be smaller. Some or all remaining dog images could be selected to feature in a photo collage on the back of the calendar; this will be decided by Dementia UK staff.
- Any images submitted must be able to be printed at a resolution of 300 DPI to be considered.
- The competition will open on 18th September 2023 and will close on the 9th October 2023 at 12pm. No entries will be considered outside of those dates.
- Dementia UK staff will undertake a selection process of photos after the competition closes.
- Winners will be announced on the 30th October on the challenge Facebook Group.
- There are no prizes for the winning submissions which will feature in the calendar. The decision of Dementia UK is final and there is no cash alternative.

By sending us an image for consideration for the Dementia UK dog calendar you are entering the competition and agree to our terms and conditions as follows:
- You grant Dementia UK the right to publish and exhibit the supplied images in the Dementia UK dog calendar and in any associated promotional or marketing material including online, via social media and in hard copy.
- You confirm that you took the image(s) personally and any use of the image(s) is not infringing the rights of any third party.
- You are over the age of 18 and a resident of the United Kingdom.
- If your image(s) is chosen for the calendar, you are not entitled to any income received by Dementia UK for the sale of the calendar or other related promotional material.
