Leave a gift in your will

Help build a brighter future for all those affected by dementia

Having an up-to-date will means that you are able to fully provide for your loved ones in the way that you choose to. By including Dementia UK in your will you will also make a vital difference to those affected by dementia now and in the future.

When a person is diagnosed with dementia the devastating effects are extended to close family and friends for many, many years.  Dementia is often refered to as a long journey, one which the whole family will endure. This journey can include emotional distress, frustration, loneliness and grief, as well as practical implications such as financial strain and long term care choices.  Dementia UK is a charity that is committed to working with people with dementia and their carers to provide the specialist support that they need throughout this entire journey.

Dementia UK's approach to this is simple and covers 4 core areas;

  • Improve the knowledge and skills of care-workers working with people with dementia through high quality affordable training
  • Harness carers' experience and expertise, to raise awareness and to train professionals in the reality of dementia care
  • Provide specialist dementia nurses known as Admiral Nurses to offer individualised support for family carers and people with dementia
  • Provide dedicated telephone and email support to carers, and health professionals through the national helpline Admiral Nursing DIRECT
