Fundraise for Dementia UK this winter

As the temperature drops we have some uplifting winter fundraising ideas for you to raise money. This will help our dementia specialist Admiral Nurses support more families facing dementia.

Santa Run

Get in the festive spirit by taking part in a Santa Run. It’s a great excuse to get dressed up and burn off some of those early mince pies! Santa Runs take place all over the country, so find your local race and set up a JustGiving page to get fundraising for families facing dementia

Christmas jumper day

Organise a Christmas jumper day at work or school. Ask your colleagues or classmates to come in wearing their silliest Christmas jumper in exchange for a donation to Dementia UK. You could also raise extra funds on the day by holding a festive bake sale

Best dressed...

Organise a best-dressed Christmas tree, front of house, window or even an office desk competition with a donation to Dementia UK to enter. You could even ask a local business to donate a prize to award the winner

Swim and support

Brave the cold for a Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day swim. There are open water swims up and down the UK where you can join hundreds of other people for a morning dip. Find a swim near you and set up a JustGiving page to get fundraising for dementia specialist Admiral Nurses

Healthy habits

Kick-start the new year with a healthy habit. Give something up for the month of January, such as alcohol, social media or eating meat. Ask friends and family to sponsor you to help you stick to it.

Set up a raffle

Ask all your colleagues to bring in any unwanted or duplicate presents and raffle them off at work. Raffles are a fun way to raise money but are strictly regulated, so please get in touch so we can help make sure your raffle is legal.
