Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing support to families living with dementia. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families face the future with confidence. But right now, they can’t reach everyone who needs support.

We receive no government funding, so we rely on donations such as gifts in Wills from supporters like you to help our work live on.

Today, dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK. By 2025, more than one million people in the UK will be living with this often devastating condition. Almost all of us will know someone living with dementia, and many family members and friends become full-time or part-time carers.

Making a gift in your Will can help our Admiral Nurses support people living with dementia, like Neil, whose dad had dementia.

The very first thing our Admiral Nurse, Kerry, did was to find out who my dad was and what mattered to him, not what was wrong with him. Kerry made us all feel like someone cared about my dad and us.

She helped my dad have the best possible end to his life and helped to give us the strength we needed to be there for him.

Remember A Charity Week, from 6th-12th September, is the perfect opportunity to consider passing on something wonderful by leaving a gift in your Will to Dementia UK.

After you’ve taken care of your family and friends, making even a small gift in your Will could have a huge impact on families affected by dementia. Your donation will help us ensure no one has to face dementia alone, now and in generations to come.

Leaving a gift to Dementia UK is straightforward and requires no additional costs.
