Employee fundraising

Keep fundraising at home for Dementia UK during the coronavirus outbreak.

Dementia UK is the only UK charity dedicated to caring for people with dementia and their families through dementia specialist nurses. Our nurses give families the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions they need to face dementia with more confidence and less fear. This support is needed now more than ever.

Life is going to be different for everyone for a while as we adjust to staying at home and keeping safe.

However the vital support we provide families living with dementia is needed now more than ever. You can help support our emergency Helpline appeal by getting creative with ideas for fundraising at home.

Our fundraising at home ideas are a great way to keep connected to colleagues, family and friends, have fun and know you are making a difference.

Host an online get-together

Arrange an afternoon tea, quiz night or evening drinks using platforms like Zoom, Google Hangouts and WhatsApp. Invite all your family and friends to virtually join you and make a donation to Dementia UK via your JustGiving fundraising page.

Celebrate your special occasion

Do you have a birthday or another anniversary coming up that you won’t be able to celebrate in person? You could consider setting up a Facebook fundraising page and asking for donations to Dementia UK alongside your virtual party

Share your skills

It’s a brilliant time to learn a new skill – why not share one of your skills online? You could offer to teach colleagues, friends and friends a new language, a yoga class or an artistic skill and get them to donate to your JustGiving fundraising page

Step challenge

It’s so important to stay active during this period of isolation. Challenge yourself, along with colleagues, friends and family, to keep your step count up every day. You could work up to a 5k, 10k or half marathon and set up a JustGiving fundraising page to keep up motivation and help support families living with dementia in your community

However you choose to fundraise, please stay home, stay safe and always follow the current COVID-19 Government guidelines.

When we return to our normal routines, we will have a range of different activities and events ready and waiting for you including challenge events, our national campaigns and office-based fundraisers to bring your colleagues together again.
