Cotswold Way Challenge

The magical Cotswold Way provides a stunning setting for a breathtaking challenge, with some fantastic views en route and tough hills in between! Our base- camp in Cirencester is the hub for a looped route through the heart of the Cotswolds, which provides a stunning setting for 2,000 adventurers to test themselves.

You’ll trek through rolling hills, quaint villages and, the magical Cotswold Way, footpaths and trails, with full support and hospitality, including optional university-style accommodation at our base -camp. Choose from full challenge, three-quarter challenge, half challenge, or quarter distance options. We also offer a 10km route for a gentler challenge.

Your entry includes free food and drink at regular rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage. As you cross the finish line, you’ll receive a glass of fizz, a finisher’s t-shirt, and a medal to commemorate your achievement.

As Dementia UK is an official partner of this event, you will receive a 50% discount on the ‘full sponsorship’ registration fee when signing up to support families affected by dementia.

Full sponsorship – you pay a small registration fee and we’ll cover the remaining cost of your event place as long as you hit your fundraising goal! As we are an official charity partner, you will receive a 50% discount on the standard registration fee below.

  • 100km: normal registration fee £40, fundraising target £575
  • Shorter distances and lower fundraising targets are also available.

Mixed funding – pay half the cost of your event place yourself, fundraise a bit less and we’ll cover the balance of your place in the event.

  • 100km: registration fee £100, fundraising target £300
  • Shorter distances and lower fundraising targets are also available!

Own Place Fundraising – you pay the full cost of your event place yourself, then fundraise as much as you can – there’s no set target or deadline, and no cost at all to Dementia UK.

  • 100km: registration fee £198, no fundraising target
  • Shorter distances and lower entry fees are also available!

My father passed away in January 2021 having suffered with dementia for a few years. We collected money for Dementia UK in lieu of flowers at the funeral, I thought it would be a good opportunity therefore to add to the money we had already collected by walking for Dementia UK.
