As the Cardiff Half Marathon has been postponed until the 28th of March 2021 due to the coronavirus, we are now following the new schedule and arranging to be there to support our runners in Spring. We would love to welcome you to the team. Please register with us by clicking the buttons below. If you decide to join our team, we will keep in touch with you about training and fundraising and with further event details when they are available. Please always follow Government advice, particularly around staying home and exercise, during this period.
The Cardiff Half Marathon is Wales’ largest mass participation event, and the second largest half marathon in the UK.
Cheered on by huge crowds, you’ll be passing iconic buildings in the Welsh capital such as the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Bay and Penarth Marina, before a grandstand finish in the centre of the city. On a flat and fast course, it’s a fantastic event for both first time runners and those looking to set a personal best.
When joining #TeamDementiaUK you’ll receive:
A dedicated member of the fundraising team to support you to the finish line and beyond
A fundraising guide, as well as fundraising advice, hints and tips in the build up to the event
A branded Dementia UK running vest for race day!
Support from the team on race day
A range of Dementia UK fundraising materials (collection buckets, posters, balloons etc.) to make any events you hold look amazing.
Volunteer with us on the day!
Roles vary from making as much noise as possible at a cheer point to making hard-earned cups of tea for runners post event. We’ll provide you with a Dementia UK t-shirt and all you need to bring on the day is your enthusiasm! Please fill in our short volunteer form and we will be in touch with more details.
