Dr Karen Harrison Dening
Karen joined Dementia UK in 2006 as a Consultant Admiral Nurse. She has over 45 years’ experience in nursing, most of those being in dementia care in a variety of settings and contexts. She gained her PhD at University College London in 2014 focusing on advance care planning and end of life care in dementia

Dr Emma Wolverson
Emma joined Dementia UK as Research Lead in October 2022. She is also a Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Ageing and Dementia at the University of Hull. Emma has worked with people with dementia and their families within the NHS since first qualifying as a psychologist in 2008

Pat Brown
Pat joined the Research & Publications team in 2021 to undertake a PhD scholarship at University College London. After qualifying as a Mental Health Nursing in 1994, Pat has always been passionate about working with the whole family, especially those affected by dementia

Amy Pepper
Amy joined the Research & Publications team in 2020. She became an Admiral Nurse in 2014 when she established and led the service in the London Borough of Sutton. Qualifying as a mental health nurse in 2008 she has worked in a number of settings specialising in supporting families living with dementia, including acute mental health, intermediate care, community, and general hospital
