Dementia UK Chairman awarded with prestigious non-executive director accolade

DCAWe’re proud to announce that our Chairman Professor David Croisdale-Appleby has been honoured with the prestigious Sunday Times Non-Executive Director of the Year 2016 award. The NED awards, as they are known, recognise the achievements of Non-Executive Directors within the Business, Not-for–profit, and public sector communities.

Regarding Professor Croisdale-Appleby’s work with Dementia UK, the judges said that they ‘…were particularly impressed by David’s inclusive and consultative style with key stakeholders and his evidence-based approach to strategy, ensuring that only initiatives with proven and measurable outcomes were considered by the Board.’

They also said that ‘…as an inspirational, classic and serious Chairman, David’s significant contribution to UK health and social care policy and the not-for-profit sector over the past 20 years makes him an extremely worthy winner of this prestigious award.’

Our Chairman has contributed significantly to our charity’s strategy and in helping us to grow Dementia UK so we can support more Admiral Nurses across the country, to help families to face dementia.
