Research Lead
Department: Clinical Services
Location: Homebased with some travel and overnight stays
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: Up to £55,000 (Dependent upon experience)
Annual Leave: 33 days (excluding 8 bank holidays)

About the role
The Research Lead will be a member of the Research & Publications Team. They will support the Head of Research and Publications in generating and leading on a range of research projects/studies that explore and strengthen the evidence base for Admiral Nursing. They will also actively seek opportunities to collaborate with other organisations to contribute to broader, dementia care research in areas that have relevance to Dementia UK’s strategic aims and research plan. The ultimate aim being to improve both the experience and health and social care outcomes for families affected by dementia.
The post holder will support the HR&P in working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, such as, the teams within the Dementia UK, university academics and other researchers.
The post holder will be expected to prepare project proposals for funding including collaboration with colleagues of Dementia UK, Admiral Nurses and stakeholders across the field of dementia care research.
The post holder will be encouraged (negotiated with and involving the HR&P) to develop honorary links with a leading academic/university team in dementia care research to enable their research knowledge and practice remains contemporary.
