Job description

Due to an exciting new collaboration with Dementia UK and Wolverhampton CCG, Black Country Health Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual with a passion for and experience of providing specialist dementia care, to join our Admiral nurse service as a band 6 Admiral Nurse. This new service will provide specialist dementia support for families and their carers across the locality.

Employed by Black Country Health Care NHSFT you will receive support from Dementia UK to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse, through clinical supervision and practice and professional development. You will become part of a network of Admiral Nurses and will have the opportunity to access relevant post graduate courses and develop professionally, informed by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework.

The successful applicant will be NMC registered with post-registration clinical experience of working with people with dementia and their carers/supporters in different settings , along with formal knowledge of dementia acquired through clinical post graduate training/education.
