Hours: 22.5 hours per week – can be worked flexibly, dependent upon service needs
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, registered nurse to join a successful service in Rutland meeting the multiple, and often complex, needs of families affected by dementia.
Admiral Nurses are specialist nurses who work with and support families and carers of people with dementia. Working collaboratively with other professionals, Admiral Nurses seek to improve the quality of life for people with dementia and their carers. They use a range of interventions to help people live positively with the condition and develop skills to improve communication and maintain relationships.
This is a dual role that encompasses face to face clinical work with families and people with dementia and will involve joint working with community staff and other statutory and voluntary organisations. You will be employed by Rutland County Council and will be supported by Dementia UK through Practice Development, Clinical Supervision, and Continuing Professional Development.
Admiral Nursing is a challenging, demanding and often rewarding role.
