Brief description of role

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust provides a specialist Admiral Nursing service to patients ‘living with dementia’. The successful applicant will join our existing members of the Admiral Nurse Service who provide specialist nursing assessments, evidenced based interventions and advice and support for families carers and supporters of people ‘living with dementia’. The service currently operates Monday to Friday9-5. The post holder will be managed by the Memory Service Team leader and will be working within the community localities across the Island.

We are looking for someone who has high levels of motivation along with the specialist skills knowledge and enthusiasm for working with patients and carers. The role of the Admiral Nurse is supported by Dementia UK who will be responsible for providing specialist training for the role including clinical supervision.
