Young onset dementia

Information and resources about young onset dementia, where symptoms develop before the age of 65.

Receiving a diagnosis of dementia aged under 65 is relatively rare and information about young onset dementia and age-appropriate support can be hard for people to find.

Younger people experience different symptoms to older people and the impact on their lives is likely to be significantly greater. Most people affected by the condition know no one else in their situation, so may feel very isolated.
