A group of Admiral Nurses celebrate at our event in London.

We have been busy this week celebrating 25 years of Admiral Nursing. Alongside our Admiral Nurses, long term supporters and some other well known faces we looked back at our key achievements, and focused on Dementia UK’s plans for the future.

To celebrate this important milestone we invited our supporters and Admiral Nurses from all over the UK to join us at our AGM. The day started with an inspirational speech from the founder of Dementia UK, Jane Jason, and throughout the day attendees heard from our very own Admiral Nurses about the important work they do with families out in the field. CEO and Chief Admiral Nurse Hilda Hayo highlighted that over the last two years we have increased the number of Admiral Nurses in the UK by 40% and by doing so we have increased awareness of this vital service and lifeline to many families.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and who helped make the celebration an inspirational and memorable event. We are looking forward to increasing the number of Admiral Nurses in the UK and reaching more families affected by dementia in 2016, but we could not do it without your support. If you’d like to know more about our plans for the future you can read about them here.
