Dementia UK Training

Dementia UK Training specialises in the provision of high quality training courses for those who work with older people and people with dementia.


Dementia UK Training provides:

• A broad range of open courses including courses by guest trainers held in central London
• Commissioned training, tailored to meet the needs of your organisation, and delivered at a venue of your choice
• Two accredited programmes, "Working with People with Dementia and Their Carers", designed and developed by Dementia UK Training and Dementia Services Development Centres' Network, accredited by the Open College Network London Region and "QCF Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia Care" accredited by OCR
• Consultancy and advice such as training needs analysis, Dementia Care Mapping and reflective practice sessions for staff working with clients with dementia and their carers
• Courses which provide underpinning knowledge for NVQs in health and social care, designed to meet government standards
• A supportive, nurturing environment to enable learners to reach their full potential

• A variety of learning and development solutions to meet the workforce needs identified by the National Dementia Strategy and the NICE Quality Standards
