Dementia UK West Midlands

Dementia UK is working in the West Midlands, supporting existing Admiral Nursing services and negotiating with health and social care commissioners and providers with the aim of expanding provision across the region.

About Us

Dementia UK West Midlands was created in April 2006 through the formalizing of a partnership between Dementia Plus (the Dementia Service Development Centre for the West Midlands) and Dementia UK.

Dementia UK West Midlands is a member of the Dementia UK family, sited in Wolverhampton and with a West Midlands wide brief to reach out to professionals, people with dementia, family carers and others who are involved with or affected by dementia and other mental health conditions of later life. It seeks to work with guidance and involvement from Uniting Carers.

Dementia UK West Midlands continues to carry on its Dementia Services Development Centre traditions and contributes to the work of the DSDC network.

Dementia UK West Midlands facilitates networks for professionals working in dementia care and related services within the West Midlands and, as part of the charity's training arm, Dementia UK Training, delivers in-house training programmes across the Region.
