Dementia UK in the North West
Dementia UK is working in the North West, supporting existing Admiral Nursing services and negotiating with health and social care commissioners and providers with the aim of expanding provision across the region.
Admiral Nurses
There are Admiral Nurses working in the following parts of the North West:
- Preston - in partnership with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust
- Manchester - in partnership with Manchester NHS Mental Health and Social Care Trust
- Bolton - in partnership with Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
A new Admiral Nursing service is being formed in Knowsley, in partnership with NHS Knowsley
The Knowsley Service will receive charitable support from Dementia UK and Bupa CSR.

Training and Learning Partnerships
Dementia UK offers the full portfolio of commissioned courses across the North West. The charity is also developing new learning partnerships with organisations working in the field of older people's care and dementia.
