Standards
All the agencies that host Admiral Nurses have their own standards.
However it was felt to be important to have an agreed set of standards specific to Admiral Nursing, which complement and enhance those of the employing authority.
Why have Admiral Nurse standards?
To take a coherent approach to improve the quality of care for people with dementia
and their carers.
To ensure that carers and people with dementia experience a consistent and high
quality response wherever they may be.
To help make carers and others aware of what they can expect from Admiral Nursing.
To help underpin the evidence base for Admiral Nursing and inform the wider quality agenda.
