Achievements
Dementia UK would like to congratulate the following people on their recent academic achievements:
Dr Julia Botsford, an Admiral Nurse in Haringey, and Dr Penny Hibberd, Director of the DSDCse, (pictured above, left to right) both attained PhDs from Northumbria University in subjects relevant to their work as Admiral Nurses
Victoria Lyons, a Dementia UK Pioneer, (pictured below) attained her Masters in Leadership in Healthcare from Bedfordshire University
Sabeena Lalwani, Assistant Finance Manager at Dementia UK, has successfully completed her AAT qualification
The Bolton Admiral Nurse service is under threat
Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is planning to shut the Bolton Admiral Nursing service.
The intention is that the service will be wound down and closed by 31 March 2012.
Dementia UK was shocked to receive this news.

We are challenging this closure and we need the voices and support of local people in Bolton to put pressure on the decision-makers to reverse the decision to close the Bolton Admiral Nurse service.
