Events Administrator - Temporary (salaried)

Dementia UK is a national charity, committed to improving quality of life for all people affected by dementia.

Our Fundraising team requires a temporary events administrator to assist with the administration of our Christmas Carol Concert and our annual fundraising initiative ‘Time for a Cuppa' Day.

The ideal candidate will be efficient, full of initiative and have an excellent eye for detail.They will have good IT and interpersonal skills, and will have bags of enthusiasm for events fundraising.

This role would suit someone wishing to develop their fundraising administration experience or wanting to break into the charity sector.

Duration: Three Months

Starting date: ASAP at Dementia UK Head Office, North London.

Salary: £10per hour

Essential - Skills / Experience
- Proven Raisers Edge experience
- Background of working in general office administration
- Strong IT skills and experience all elements of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Eye for detail and consistency in data entry
- Excellent communication skills

Desirable - Skills / Experience
- Experience of working in a small team
- Fundraising / Events background
- Experience of working with Events Committees
- Experience of working on Special Events

- Organised
- High attention to detail
- Calm under pressure
- A practical thinker
- A team player
- Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work using own initiative
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines are fundamental.
- A desire and passion to work in the charity sector

- Ability to adopt a flexible approach to the work pattern and to carry out any other duties as required.
