Dementia UK hosts a number of Annual Events, such as the Golf Day, the Carol Concert and Time for a Cuppa Day as well as one-off events.
Snow White and the Seven Designers
This year we are delighted to announce that we are the benefitting charity to the Interior Designers 4th pantomime productuion of Snow White and the Seven Designers. The pantomime will be taking place at the Garrick Theatre in London's West End and will run from 12th - 16th October, with a dazzling charity Gala evening being held on the 14th October. Carol Concert 2010Our annual Carol Concert has been going strong since 2001 and this year will be held at St George's Church, London on Wednesday 8th December. It is always a wonderfully joyous evening of carols and readings and everyone is invited to stay for a glass of wine and home made mince pie. Past readers include: Pam Ayres, Penny Junor, Jenny Seagrove, Joanna Trollope OBE and Floella Benjamin OBE and past addresses have been given by John Suchet, Barbara Pointon MBE and Diana Melly. Every year, we invite people to 'Remember a Star' by sponsoring a star in the name of a loved on who has been affected in some way by dementia. A recent addition to the annual Events Calendar, Time for a Cuppa Day is a national fundraising initiative. It takes place annually on the first Monday in February and we are proud to have Fiona Phillips as our Patron for this event.
