Dementia UK is committed to developing services to improve quality of life for people affected by dementia. 

Dementia UK has made great inroads, towards delivering vital support to family carers through the development of Admiral Nurses and Admiral Nursing DIRECT. We are raising standards of dementia care through the training division, training up to 3000 care-workers per year. We also recognise the important role of the carer, both in terms of the support they require and their ability to contribute to a wider understanding of dementia, and we channel this expert knowledge through our national network, Uniting Carers.

However, with the numbers of those with dementia set to rise to over one million by 2025 and the complexities involved in long-term health and social care, we have a long journey still ahead of us.

We rely on individuals like you, to support us to continue this work and to improve the lives of those affected by this difficult condition.
