Our strategy and annual reports

Our strategy

Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia. That’s what is behind Dementia UK’s vision – specialist dementia support for everyone who needs it.

Today, around 944,000 people in the UK live with dementia, and by 2025, that number will have grown to one million. Almost all of us know someone affected by the condition.

We want every family facing dementia to have the support of a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, and that underpins our strategy for 2020-25. Our mission is to grow the number of Admiral Nurses so they can offer a lifeline to everyone that needs it.

We’re committed to increasing the number of Admiral Nurses:

We also want to bring our expert dementia support closer to those who need it through our Dementia at Work programme and our information resources, including our website, advice leaflets and social media.

We won’t rest until no one has to face dementia alone.

Our annual reports

We are committed to full transparency around our work as a charity.
